Installation Instructions¶

The easiest way to install Advertising Manager is to use the automatic installation functionality that Wordpress provides. Alternatively, you can install Advertising Manager manually. Both methods are described below:

Automatic Installation¶

1. Click on the 'Add New' item under the 'Plugins' menu in Wordpress (1). In the search box, enter the term 'advertising-manager' (2):

2. Locate the 'Advertising Manager' plugin, which should be the first result. Click on 'Install' (1):

3. Now click on the 'Install Now' button (1):

4. Finally, activate the plugin by clicking on the 'Activate Plugin' button:

Manual Installation¶

1. Obtain the latest version of Wordpress Advertising Manager here
2. Unzip the contents of the folder:

> unzip advertising-manager.zip

Archive:  advertising-manager.zip
   creating: advertising-manager/
  inflating: advertising-manager/advertising-manager.css  
  inflating: advertising-manager/advertising-manager.js  
  inflating: advertising-manager/advertising-manager.php
  ...

3. Transfer the advertising-manager folder to your Wordpress plug-ins folder (example here using FTP):

> ftp -r advertising-manager/ ftp://myblog.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/

4. Activate Advertising Manager. From the Plugins Menu (1), click the 'Activate' link next to the 'Advertising Manager' plug-in (2):

5. That's it! Your Adverting Manager plug-in should display in the 'Active Plugins' section (1), and you should now have a shiny new menu on the left called 'Ads' (2).
